History of Net Radios in Undernet IRC

The first Pinoy IRC channel who pioneered Net Radio in Undernet IRC is #Pagadian around 2006. We played mostly River Maya, EraserHeads, Love Songs, and some dramas we recorded on SKYPE. Our First listeners were mary_rose, Jane, dante, BRGY_TANOD, just to name a few.

Then came #FunRadiocebu which started in April 19, 2008. Later, some listeners in #FunRadioCebu started their own net radio and named it #PinoyRadio which became #PnoyRadio.

Then, #Pagadian's stream server was merged with #RadioRomance (formerly known as FunRadioCebu and MyFunRadio) because Radio Romance's stream server is offline for days. That makes #RadioRomance having 2 stream servers powered by a T3 and a T1 in four stream channels.

Around May 2008, #FunRadioCebu became #MyFunRadio and some listeners of #FunRadioCebu made their own net radio based in #Dumaguete and moved to #Wildride.

Finally #MyFunRadio became #RadioRomance. The foundation and most supporters of #RadioRomance are chatters from channel #Davao and #Pagadian.

Then someone started #Xtreme-Radio. Some of their supporters are chatters from #PnoyRadio.

Another net radio is #PnoyMusic which merged with #Xtreme-Radio.

Recently, #PnoyMusic and #XtremeRadio separated, and each channel has their own set of DJs. Then #pnoyRadio changed management and merged to #pnoyMusic.

Blastoff Radio started March 2010, supported by some former people of #Xtreme-Radio

#RadioRomance is renamed to #RadyoRomansa www.RadyoRomansa.net
